Dental Implants

Do you have missing teeth? Are you looking for dental rehabilitation treatment that offers the best return on investment? Then it’s time to consider dental implants. Implants are the go-to option for replacing any number of missing teeth, whether it’s one or all of them.

What Are Implants?

Today’s dental implants are designed to look and feel like natural teeth. Each independent, biocompatible implant mimics the function of a tooth root. When set into your mouth, it’s durable enough to support a stand-alone dental crown. If used in pairs or alongside multiple implants, we can also anchor larger restorations such as multi-tooth dental bridges and dentures.

At Parramatta Green Dental, we use a surgery-free treatment approach and immediate implant placement. This type of procedure is less invasive and gentler to our patients.

Advantages of Modern Implants

When you invest in dental implants, you’ve set yourself up with new teeth for life. Most healthy individuals who care for their implant properly can expect it to last for life. No other restoration is able to do so! They’re also:

  • Stronger than natural teeth
  • Known for a high success rate (over 98%)
  • Easy to care for; just brush and floss them like normal
  • More comfortable than a removable appliance
  • Able to facilitate natural biting and chewing movements

Who Is a Candidate for Dental Implants?

Before considering dental implants, we’ll need to thoroughly screen you to find out if you qualify for the treatment. If you take certain medications such as blood-thinners or bisphosphonates, please let us know. Other medical conditions such as diabetes, recent surgery or heart disease will also need to be taken into consideration.

Most importantly, we’ll need to make sure you have enough healthy bone to support your new dental implants. We’ll take a series of X-rays to evaluate your jaw density, as well as evaluate areas where teeth are missing. In some cases, bone grafts or secondary therapies will be necessary to make the procedure a successful one.
